Samantha
is a senior at the University of Central Missouri in
Warrensburg, with an individualized major in applied
politics and a minor in aviation. She is the oldest of five
children, from the small town of Holden, Missouri, and
received her entire pre-college education at home. Her
involvement in College Republicans began as a freshman
during the 2004 election season, while also working as a
field coordinator for the RNC. She became western director
as a sophomore, moving on to be executive director and
vice-chair before becoming chairlady in May 2007. Traveling
extensively during the 2006 cycle, she helped to build up
local chapters and boost recruitment and growth statewide to
unprecedented levels while carrying a full class load. Now
part-time work with the 31st district senate
campaign keeps her busy, as well as the job she has held for
three years at a livestock auction near her home. She
expects after graduation to move into full-time campaign
work, with a future in campaign consulting and management.
Her rather varied interests include people, animals, music,
books, baking, football and fine chocolate. “I believe in
the power of this organization to equip young leaders to
maintain our conservative values. I am committed to the
strength of hard work fueled by convictions and ideals. And
I am just thrilled to be a part of this growing, lively team
that helps drive me to greater personal achievements every
day!”
