Kristen
Sanocki is the treasurer for the Missouri College
Republicans. As a student of Jefferson City High School,
Kristen grew up enjoying the political environment of the
city. Currently, Kristen is pursuing a degree in political
science at Missouri State University in Springfield. At MSU,
Kristen is active in Student Government, the MSU chapter of
College Republicans and will serve as a legislative intern
in the Missouri House of Representatives during the 2008
spring semester.
In her spare time, Kristen enjoys
working downtown in Jefferson City for Republican political
consultants and reading books on current affairs. She
recommends reading Barry Goldwater’s book “The Conscience of
a Conservative,” as the content is timeless and certainly
applicable for today.
Kristen is a Reagan Conservative
because of the strong national defense, economic policies
and excellent moral leadership that Reagan instilled during
his presidency. Her favorite Reagan quote is “You and I have
a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children
this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will
sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years
of darkness," and holds to this quote as a personal motto
for politics.
Kristen has always believed in the
Republican Party’s ideals, but her “defining Republican
moment” was in 2004 when she saw President Bush speak at
Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri. To this day, Kristen
asserts that during his speech “you could feel the red,
white, and blue.” As the 2008 election fast approaches us,
Kristen is confident that “the Missouri College Republicans
will continue to make a difference locally, state-wide and
nationally for victory in 2008!”
